We offer Painting and Crafting classes through the Berkeley County Adult & Community Education program. Most classes are held at the Berkeley Plaza Classroom.

All classes are beginner level and open to everyone.

This is the local chapter of the Society of Decorative Painting, founded in 2003 by Mary Frazee. This chapter is designed for anyone who has a love of painting. It is perfect for beginners and advanced painters. We meet the 2nd Saturday of each month.

Classes

All Classes held at Berkeley Plaza Classroom

 

 

Note: All classes are beginner level. Visit www.mrcraftsandclasses.com to see project pictures and surfaces. Feel free to contact the instructor for any questions. Students should bring basic list of supplies to all classes, plus any specific supplies listed in each class description.

Basic supply list:

Brushes (variety flats, angles, liners, scruffy), water basin, foam plates, practice paper, graphite paper, paper towels plus any painting supplies you like and use. See each class for specific supplies and supply fee.

 

 

 

Decorative Painting: Patriotic Eagle

Learn to paint a neat project while showing your patriotic side. The surface will be perfect for framing. Students should bring basic painting supplies. Surface, paints, instructions and pattern will be provided. A supply fee of $10.00 is to be paid to the instructor. This class is rescheduled from the summer.

Decorative Painting: Pumpkin Server

What a neat surface, this metal pumpkin is a showpiece when closed and then opens up to be a great server for candies and goodies. Using traditional fall decorations and some pizzazz, this is a great project. Students should bring basic painting supplies. Surface, paint, instructions, pictures etc… will be provided. A supply fee of $20.00 is to be paid to the instructor. This is a 3 night class.

Decorative Painting: Holiday Ornaments

It is never too early to start painting great ornaments for gifts. This is a 3 night class. You will complete 4 different ornaments in all.  All new projects examples include girl’s night out ornament, knitting snowman, and more great projects. Projects can be adjusted and personalized for each person. Students should bring basic painting supplies. Surfaces, instructions, pictures, embellishments and more will be provided. A supply fee of $10 is to be paid to the instructor.

Decorative Painting: Great Holiday Gifts

Cute and fun is the best way to describe this class. With a little painting and a little crafting we will be creating a wooden snowman gift card holder, & and a Thomas Kinkaid holiday project. Students should bring basic painting supplies. A supply fee of $8.00 is to be paid to the instructor. If you like to have fun and play with supplies, this is the class for you.
