We offer Painting and Crafting classes through the Berkeley County Adult & Community Education program. Most classes are held at the Berkeley Plaza Classroom.

All classes are beginner level and open to everyone.

This is the local chapter of the Society of Decorative Painting, founded in 2003 by Mary Frazee. This chapter is designed for anyone who has a love of painting. It is perfect for beginners and advanced painters. We meet the 2nd Saturday of each month.

All Classes held at

Berkeley County Adult Learning Center

 

 

Note: All classes are beginner level. Visit www.mrcraftsandclasses.com to see project pictures and surfaces. Feel free to contact the instructor for any questions. Students should bring basic list of supplies to all classes, plus any specific supplies listed in each class description.

Basic supply list:

Brushes (variety flats, angles, liners, scruffy), water basin, foam plates, practice paper, graphite paper, paper towels plus any painting supplies you like and use. See each class for specific supplies and supply fee.

 

 

 

Decorative Painting: Vintage Tray

This project has a vintage feel to it and will be a great compliment to any kitchen décor. It is simple and easy, yet very decorative. Students should bring basic supply list to class. Surface, paints, pattern and instructions provided.

A supply fee of $8.00 is to be paid to the instructor.

Decorative Painting: Fall Pumpkin Project

This is one of the easiest projects you will ever do. The surface is a unique metal pumpkin server and we will be decorating with a variety of glitters. The finished project will look like a high end home décor item. (If you did the pumpkin server project last fall, it is the same surface, yet with a whole new designed project.) A supply fee of $15 is to be paid to the instructor. Space is limited. Students should bring orange glitter, other colors and additional supplies will be provided. Students should also bring shallow box such a shirt size gift box.

Decorative Painting: Noel Banner

What could be better for the holidays then candy canes that spell NOEL each letter with a decorative touch? We will complete this project step by step and you will be amazed how it comes together. This will make a great door decoration.

A supply fee of $12.00 is to be paid to the instructor. Students should bring basic supply list to class. Surface, pattern, paints, & instructions provided.

Decorative Painting: Let’s have Cocoa holiday ornaments

Based on an original design by Renee Mullins, these hot cocoa themed ornaments are adorable. We will be completing 3 wooden hand cut ornaments. Students should bring basic supply list to class and a small snowflake stamp or snowflake stencil if you have one. A supply fee of $5.00 is to be paid to the instructor. Surfaces, paints, pattern and instructions provided.

Quick & Easy Christmas Crafts

Do you like to play with a variety of craft supplies, have fun and make quick and easy projects, this class is for you. During the 2 nights you will experiment with a lot of supplies and complete neat holiday projects including a snow globe card and Santa hat book and more.  Students should bring sharp scissors, paper towels, adhesive, & markers or color pencils (if you have them). Basic supply list not needed for this class. A supply fee of $8.00 is to be paid to the instructor.
